Bridport project goes for Lottery funding

First published in News

PROPOSALS for the restoration of the Literary and Scientific Institute building in Bridport have taken a step forward with the submission last week of a final application for Lottery funding.

The application to the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) has been under preparation since the Bridport Area Development Trust received a round one ‘pass’ in late 2012, and has required the production of detailed plans to support the bid. The HLF Regional Panel will make a decision in September.

At the same time planning and Listed Building applications have been submitted to West Dorset District Council.

The plans will be available for inspection in the council planning office at Mountfield and on the planning website.

n There is a public exhibition of the plans at Bridport Town Hall on Wednesday, June 4 from 10am to 2pm.
