COASTGUARDS were called after a speedboat ran out of oil near Kimmeridge.
The 16-foot vessel, named ‘Fletcher’, had three people on board when the incident happened at around 3pm on Sunday afternoon.
A motorboat located the vessel and towed it to safety.
Elsewhere, lifeboat crews were alerted to a 24-foot vessel with engine problems near Hengistbury Head.
The incident happened at around 4.20pm.
The boat was towed to safety.
