Updated 6:16pm Monday 2nd June 2014 in News
A FIRE which destroyed four vehicles and a barn was started deliberately, police believe.
Dorset Police and Dorset Fire and Rescue Service are investigating the cause of the blaze at Lower Ash Farm at Dottery, near Bridport, on Sunday.
More than 30 firefighters from Bridport, Charmouth, Beaminster, Yeovil and Poole rushed to the scene to extinguish the blaze and stop it spreading to a nearby thatched property, believed to be a cow shed.
The barn was being used to store a number of vehicles and a van, a caravan, a car and a tractor were destroyed.
A spokeswoman for Dorset Police said: “We were called by the fire service at 11.23am on Sunday regarding a barn fire on a farm at Pymore, Bridport.
“It is believed to have been started deliberately and we are working with Dorset Fire and Rescue to establish exactly what happened.”
No arrests have been made, the spokeswoman added.
