COASTGUARD ROUND-UP: Cargo ship forced to stop near Portland Bill
COASTGUARDS were called when a Maltese cargo ship carrying salt was forced to stop near Portland Bill on Tuesday morning to make engine repairs.
The incident happened at around 7.30am on Tuesday and Portland Coastguard kept in contact with the Georgi Grigorov ship via radio.
After three hours repairs were completed and the vessel resumed its voyage to Israel.
