YOUNGSTERS in West Dorset will be able to enjoy playing rounders for free this summer.
West Dorset District Council has received a grant of £1,800 from Rounders England and will be running sessions for young disabled people aged 14 and over at Dorchester Sports Centre. The course will be held on Wednesdays starting today until August 6 on the artificial grass pitch from 7pm to 8pm.
Sports centre staff Tom Cooper and Sarah Symes will run the sessions with Tom having recently attended a special training event with Rounders England. West Dorset District Council Leader Robert Gould said: “We hope that lots of young people and mums take advantage of the free sessions and discover a new hobby in rounders.”
