AN ELDERLY woman who was sleeping rough on Weymouth seafront has been re-homed.
Calls were made by Weymouth Salvation Army to help the 79-year-old who was in urgent need of shelter and medical help.
It is understood that she was forced to leave her Dorchester home last week.
Paramedics cleaned ulcers and burns on her legs.
The Echo has been told the woman has been re-homed.
Cllr Ray Nowak, spokesman for housing at Weymouth & Portland Borough Council, said:“We will assess individual circumstances in accordance with legislation and provide whatever help is appropriate.”
