A COUNTRY market has been celebrating offering the cream of local produce for 40 years.
Wool Country Market runs from 10am to 11.30am every Thursday morning at D’Urberville Hall.
To celebrate reaching its 40th anniversary a special birthday cake was brought in and free teas and coffees were offered on the day.
Treasurer Warren Blacknell said that the longevity of the market was an indicator of how popular it was.
He said: “Dorset has more country markets than almost anywhere else and we are one of the smallest in the county.”
Mr Blacknell said he wanted to thank all the loyal local customers who helped keep the market going.
