THE ONLY way is up for a Dorset dog lover taking on another charity challenge.

Fundraiser Gareth Bishop scaled Mount Kilimanjaro last year to support Greyhound Rescue West of England.

After raising £1,415, the train guard from Blandford is now setting his sights on Machu Picchu as he takes on the Inca Trail to raise more funds for the charity in September this year.

Gareth’s latest challenge will see him trekking for five days up to a height of 14,583 feet above sea level to raise money for Greyhound Rescue West of England’s New Life Appeal.

He said: “I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of raising money for Greyhound Rescue West of England last year and this latest adventure to Peru looks to be just as exciting.

“Our family adopted a greyhound, Kelly, from the charity last year and she has brought so much joy to us all that this has inspired me to don my walking boots yet again to help support these often overlooked older hounds.
