A BRIDPORT man who admitted possession of a variety of controlled drugs has been fined.

Tomasz Marek Tomecki, of Kingfisher Court, West Bay, was sentenced at Dorchester Crown Court after admitting the possession of MDMA, amphetamine and diazepam.

The 28-year-old tree surgeon and fire dancer was arrested after a police search at the flat he shared with his partner revealed three wraps of MDMA and two wraps of an amphetamine and caffeine mixture as well as a personal quantity of diazepam.

Judge Roger Jarvis imposed a total fine of £650 for the three offences. The judge told the defendant: “The intention of the fine is to send you a message deterring you from committing these sort of offences in the future.”
