A GROUP of Dorchester singers will be putting their talent towards a good cause at a concert in the county town.
Encore Singers will be performing at the United Church in South Street from 7.30pm on Friday, June 13.
All proceeds from the event will go the Alzheimer’s Society after the charity was chosen by founder Lynne Penman and the Encore committee.
With around 14,000 people in Dorset living with dementia, plus possibly many more undiagnosed, the Alzheimer’s Society is providing support for people with the condition and their carers.
Founder Lynn recently met with the co-ordinator of the local Dementia Action Alliance Jo Bazalgette, who is employed by the Alzheimer’s Society to create a dementia-friendly community in Dorchester as well as Weymouth and Portland.
Admission to the event is free and there will be a retiring collection for the Alzheimer’s Society.
