PROGRESS is being made with plans to come up with alternative proposals for the Dorchester Transport and Environment Plan (DTEP).
A steering group looking for an improved solution has held two meetings and Dorchester Town Council has been looking to set up a residents’ panel to get feedback from different parts of the town about proposals coming out from that group.
More than 20 residents have expressed an interest so far.
Town clerk Adrian Stuart said in an update for the town council’s planning and environment committee: “A number of residents have come forward citing a wealth of experience in traffic management and background knowledge of Dorchester.”
The town council is also hosting two events on June 26 and July 3 where the latest proposals emanating from the county council will be explained.
It is also hoping to hold meetings with the Dorchester Bid, Chamber of Commerce and Heritage Committee.
