EMERGENCY services were called after a gas main was pierced in Weymouth.
The incident happened at around 1.30pm this afternoon on Doncaster Road in Wyke Regis.
Firefighters from Weymouth were called to a property where there was a report of a gas main being pierced.
The gas board was contacted while fire and police worked to keep the general public informed about the situation.
A gas monitor and covering jets were used to keep the area safe before gas workers took over.
A spokesman for Southern Gas Network said it involved a service pipe and work had been completed at the scene.
