FOODIE fundraisers are invited to a host a dinner in aid of children with life-limiting illnesses this October.
Following the success of the Great Dorset Dinner in 2009, the newly-renamed Great Wessex Dinner will take place in aid of hospices Julia’s House, Naomi House and Jacksplace.
Funds raised at the event – which organisers says will be “bigger and better than before” – will be divided evenly between the three units.
Sally Rowe, PR and communications coordinator at Julia’s House, said: “People are being invited to host a dinner in their own home and encourage family and friends to join them for a suggested donation of £50 per person.
“The Great Wessex Dinner committee have set themselves the ambitious target of raising £200,000.”
