DORCHESTER Police have received a number of complaints about notes that ‘could be seen as threatening or intimidating’ left on cars parked in Alfred Road.

The county town’s safer neighbourhood team has reported that vehicle owners parking in the road are returning to their vehicles to find the notes left on their windscreens.

After investigating the reports officers were able to track down the person responsible for leaving the notes and say they have visited the local resident and strongly advised them about their actions.

PCSO Glen Caddy said: “We do not support the notes being left.

“Those parking their vehicles in the area have every right to do so and shouldn't find themselves being intimidated.

“However, please be mindful of local residents and ensure that your vehicle doesn’t cause any obstructions.”
