Homeowners want to stay after retirement but don't feel they can
Almost seven out of every ten South West homeowners aged 55 and over want to stay living in their current property during retirement, but just 35 per cent believe they can do so.
Research was carried out by the Equity Release Council which says many people are living in homes in the region which need investment to make them safe and practical for later life.
