A MAN has died following a road traffic collision on South Causeway in Wareham this morning.
The incident happened at 12.25am when a white Mazda, driven by a woman from Poole, was in collision with a 29-year-old pedestrian from Stoborough.
The pedestrian, named locally as deep sea fisherman Stefan Noyce, from Stoborough, died at the scene.
His next of kin and the coroner have been informed.
The road was closed from the bridge at Wareham and at Stoborough as police investigated the crash, and was reopened at 9.05am.
Police are now appealing for witnesses and anyone who was travelling in either direction on the Causeway to contact Dorset Police on 101 and quote the incident number 16:11.
