A BODY has been found off the Dorset coast in the search for missing pensioner William Haines.
Mr Haines, aged 70, was last seen at his home in Warwickshire on Sunday afternoon and was believed to be in the Dorset area.
This afternoon, a body was discovered 400 yards west of Ballard Point.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: “The formal identification is yet to take place but Mr Haines family are aware and the Dorset coroner has been contacted.
“The circumstances are not believed to be suspicious.”
The force, along with Warwickshire Police, which was leading the investigation, thanked everyone involved in the search.
