A MAN was rushed to Dorset County Hospital after a car overturned in Upwey this morning.
The incident happened just after 8.30am, when one car, a silver Ford Fiesta registered to a man in Weymouth, overturned on the B3159 Gould’s Hill at the Friar Waddon Road junction.
It is not yet known how serious the injuries are, but it is believed they are not life threatening.
The road was blocked in both directions for more than one hour as police closed the road for the recovery vehicle.
The road has now been cleared and traffic has returned to normal.
A spokesman for the South Western Ambulance Service said: “We were called to a single vehicle road traffic collision at 8.39am on the B3159 in Upwey this morning.
“One man was taken by land ambulance to Dorset County Hospital with head injuries.”
