PORTLAND Coastguards transferred a pensioner to nearby paramedics after she collapsed on a coastal path.
At 11.30am yesterday, a call was received by the coastguard headquarters after a 68-year-old woman collapsed on a coast path.
The incident happened 300 yards east of the National Coastwatch hut in St Albans, and St Albans Coastguards were tasked to the scene.
They transported the woman to waiting paramedics from the South Western Ambulance Service and after treatment on scene, she was released.
In the only other incident of the day, a 23 foot day boat suffered engine failure outside Poole Harbour.
Just before 9.30pm, the two people on board alerted coastguards, who alerted nearby vessels.
A local angling boat called Sea Fox towed the day boat, which was called Lazy Days, back to its berth in the harbour.
