Emergency safety alert
Portland Coastguards tasked rescue teams in Bournemouth after a 999 call was received about the safety of a small boat.
Southborne Coastguards and Mudeford RNLI attended the scene just off Boscombe Pier at 9.46pm on Tuesday, and found one man in a dinghy.
The man confirmed he was safe, but was escorted back to shore by the lifeboat and given advice by the coastguard teams.
