PLANT lovers are in for a treat as the Dorset Gardens Trust celebrates 25 years at Herringston House near Dorchester this Sunday.

All are welcome to come and join in the celebrations from 10am to 5pm, with children admitted free.

A collection of top specialist nurseries are coming on the day as well as many popular local ones.

Neil Lucas from Knoll Gardens will also be giving a talk on his famous grasses in the afternoon.

Visitors will also be able to enjoy a host of other stalls as well as lunches and teas.

They will be able to explore the grounds of Herringston House, which has been in the Williams family for over 500 years.

The current occupants have gradually been replanting the garden, starting with a camellia and azalea walk and a woodland walk.

A wild flower meadow is also in progress and there is a walled garden with a pool and an apple walk.
