Take a walk down the railway line
ROUTES from Portland and Upwey feature in the July programme for the Wessex Wanderer walks from stations along the Heart of Wessex Railway Line.
On Saturday, July 5 there will be a choice of nine or 18-mile walks from Bristol Temple Meads along the River Avon trail before an eight-mile linear walk from Yeovil Pen Mill to Thornford on Wednesday, July 9.
On Saturday, July 12 there will be an eight-mile circular walk on Portland with a bus used to and from Weymouth for shorter walk options.
Next route is a nine-mile circular walk from Upwey on Wednesday, July 16.
