A FUNDRAISING event in the memory of a former Dorset County Hospital nurse raised more than £1,000 for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Tracy Newton died from cancer last year and friend and former colleague Sandra Miller organised a hog roast and table top sale on what would have been Tracy’s 51st birthday. More than 200 people attended the event, raising £1,075 for the charity.
Mrs Miller said: “Tracy’s one desire was to come home. That was made possible by the fabulous care of a team of Marie Curie nurses and her many friends, family and partner.”
