COMMUNITY projects in Bere Regis are set to benefit from former Queen guitarist Dr Brian May.
His Save Me charity has donated a personally signed sweatshirt for auction to raise funds for a project in the village.
Dr May signed the top to help local causes after residents and children from Bere Regis Community School helped him with the planting of 100,000 new trees on his land, known as May’s Wood, in nearby Shitterton last year.
The pupils, aged five to 11, also sang their New Woodland Song for Dr May.
The song had been written by local songwriter Linda Lamon.
Dr May, who is also an astrophysicist and environmental campaigner, owns 160 acres of land in and around Bere Regis, which he is transforming into native woodland.
The hoodie top is available for auction on eBay, item number 181452397361, until Wednesday, July 9.
