A WEYMOUTH burger restaurant has been voted one of the best in the country.
The Dorset Burger Company, which is due to open in new premises, has been rated the third best burger restaurant in the UK according to reviewers on the website TripAdvisor.
TripAdvisor released the results ahead of Independence Day in America to celebrate the national dish. The Dorset Burger Company is an independently owned restaurant and café which aims to use as many locally-sourced ingredients as possible.
Choice offerings include The Brie and Bacon made with bacon from Denhay Farms.
The restaurant has received a Gold award for the past two years from Taste of the West.
One reviewer said on TripAdvisor: “Without doubt the best burger I have ever tasted! The staff were friendly and efficient, good atmosphere, we will definitely return.”
The restaurant used to be based in St Mary Street but is moving to new premises and was due to open today at 6 King Street.
Top of the TripAdvisor ratings is Burger Brothers in Brighton.
