Ride for children's ward
MORE than 200 riders will take to the roads this weekend to raise money for a life-saving children’s ward.
The ride, from Weymouth to Southampton, has been organised by John Bramble, from Chickerell, and his daughter Anne Allen, from Poole, as a thank you to the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Southampton General Hospital. The unit helped Anne’s daughter Sophie Davidge when she was born with a heart problem.
The ride will start from Lodmoor Country Park this Sunday at 10am sharp, and riders can register and pay the £5 entry fee from 9am.
