LAST-MINUTE preparations are being made to the Friends of Nothe Gardens’ annual Teddy Bears Picnic on Sunday.
All are invited to the Nothe Gardens in Weymouth for an afternoon of free fun and entertainment.
There’ll be the usual best dressed teddy competition, storytelling, live music, games, a teddy bear nature trail and top prize in the raffle is a meal for four at the Nothe Tavern. The picnic runs from 1.30pm to 4pm.
Picnic co-ordinator for the Friends of Nothe Gardens Roger Genge said: “In the past I’ve been amazed at the ingenuity of the teddy outfits, large and small bears have been dressed up smartly for the occasion.
“As usual we have some great prizes for the winners of the best dressed Teddy and the Teddy Bear Hunt but we make sure everyone’s a winner.”
This year the Friends welcome Weymouth and District Model Engineering Society whose members will be bringing some of their engines for display and to ride on.
