The Osmington Speedwatch group has had a busy few weeks since they received their new replacement camera. This looks somewhat like a mobile phone but is very efficient in recording the speed of vehicles through the village. On one morning between the hours of 7 and 9am 25 vehicles were registered speeding, and one recorded speed was well over 40 miles per hour. Speedwatch is obviously helping to reduce speed of some drivers through our village, as the police have informed us that no driver has been recorded again after receiving a warning letter issued after the first occasion.
