A FUN-FILLED event in Dorchester’s Borough Gardens gave the Dorchester Rotary Club a chance to thank the local community for all its support over the past year.
Rotarians organised a family picnic to mark the end of the Rotary Year and give the community a day to enjoy.
There was fun for all ages with a bouncy castle, games, face painting, music and much more.
Over the last 12 months the local community has helped the Rotary Club raised around £30,000 for various causes including the West Dorset Women’s Refuge, its flood and storm appeal, Young Carers and emergency relief for the Philippines.
Outgoing president Ian Dominy said the event in the gardens provided the perfect way for the club to thank all those who had given generously to support its causes.
He said: “It was a very good event, everybody that attended enjoyed themselves and we were able to out on quite a lot of events for children."
