YOUNGSTERS enjoyed some fun in the sun as Sunninghill Preparatory School held its annual summer fete.

The event was organised by the Parents, Teachers and Friends Association and supported the school’s fundraising activities, with donations made to charities including Dorset Search Dogs.

The stalls were designed and built by the children and included Dorset Knob and welly-throwing, splat the rat, jolly jars and sumo wrestling.

Form 8 pupils also sold their wares from their Lions’ Lair challenge, the school’s take on the television show Dragons’ Den.

Maths teacher Rueben Adams was put in the stocks as children had a chance to get their own back on teachers during the fete.

He said: “They enjoyed their shot at revenge for all the maths homework I have given them over the year.”
