DORSET’S first-ever Eco Living Fair is to be held in Dorchester.

The event will take place on the Great Field, Poundbury, on Saturday, July 26 from 10am to 4pm.

Dorset Agenda 21 (da21), which is hosting the fair, is a sustainable development charity and the fair is all about inviting companies, groups and individuals along to exhibit their renewable energy, sustainable products or services to the public.

Andrew Barker, trustee chairman for da21, said: “Da21 is all about promoting the amazing work of organisations in Dorset who are working on sustainability issues or keen to work towards a greener future.

“The fair is free and open to everyone so bring the kids, bring the grandparents or just bring yourselves along on the day and find out more about what there is available.

“We have a wide range of stallholders with everything from straw bale construction, renewable energy alternatives and eco-friendly transport such as electric bikes and Westover Toyota’s ultra-low emission vehicle to organic farm produce and cider and loads of energy-saving tips – plus a folk band to boot so it’ll be a great eco fun day for all.”
