A WOMAN injured in a crash in Weymouth remains in a critical condition.
The 67-year-old was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital’s major trauma unit on Wednesday morning following a crash on Commercial Road.
Police, ambulance and the air ambulance attended the incident just after 10.30am, and the road was closed between the Westham Road and Lower St Albans Street by the harbourside.
Officers described her injuries as ‘life-threatening’ and appealed for any witnesses to the crash to get in touch with them immediately.
A spokesman for the police said the woman remains in a ‘critical, life-threatening condition.’ Meanwhile, a 50-year-old man from Poole who received ‘life-changing’ injuries in a crash on the A35 near Bere Regis on Wednesday, is also still in hospital.
Police officers described him as being in a ‘serious but stable condition’.
Witnesses to the Weymouth collision should call Dorset Police on 101, incident number 16:131.
