Test your limits for fun and fundraising PEOPLE with a sense of adventure are being encouraged to sign up for this year’s Kamikaze Adventure Run near Bridport in aid of Dorset disability charity Diverse Abilities Plus.

Diverse Abilities Plus, the Dorset disability charity that supports more than 600 adults, children and their families across the county, is now recruiting enthusiastic participants to take part in the VOTWO Kamikaze Adventure Run on September 7.

Mapperton Farm near Bridport will be transformed to host the event that will see fundraisers challenge themselves as they crawl, walk, trawl, jump, slide, scramble, run and swing their way around the course until they cross the finish line where they will be crowned a Kamikaze Warrior.

People can run, jog or walk an eight mile, or four if preferred, obstacle course designed by ex-Royal Marines to test toughness, strength, stamina, fitness, camaraderie and mental grit.

Sharon Wells, Events Fundraiser at Diverse Abilities Plus, said: “Whatever obstacle course you choose, it will test your determination, stamina and fitness, plus help support a fantastic charity. We are grateful to VOTWO, who have kindly chosen Diverse Abilities Plus as one of its partners for this event.

“We’d love to see everyone get involved.” Joe Thompson from Dorset is a previous VOTWO Kamikaze Adventure Run participant.

He said: “The Kamikaze run is a great and very different way to spend a muddy morning.

“I have done a fair few challenge events in my time, but I can honestly say this is the most enjoyable out of them all.”

The entry fee to take part in the VOTWO Kamikaze Adventure Run four mile course is £25 for an individual entry or £66 for a team of three and for the eight miles, £35 individual entry and £81 for a team of three. The suggested minimum sponsorship level per person is £100.

Every participant that enters direct with Diverse Abilities will be eligible to get 10 per cent discount off of these entry fees.
