FOLKS of Weymouth and Dorchester can take advantage of a special ticket offer to a folk festival.
Residents living in the DT area postcode are being offered buy-one-get-one-free on tickets to the Purbeck Folk Festival, which takes place over the August bank holiday weekend. Anyone buying a ticket for a day of the festival who lives in the specified area will receive a free ticket for the second day.
Festival director Michael Callaghan said: “We have had incredible support from local individuals and organisations who have told us they love the Purbeck Folk Festival.
“This is our chance to give something back to local people and show that we value the backing of the community and the way the event has been embraced.”
This year the headline acts include Eddi Reader, Lloyd Cole, Sally Barker from The Voice, The South, Idlewild Acoustic, Turin Brakes, Nizlopi and Chris Wood. The four stages are contained in Wilkswood Farm’s covered barns with a marquee venue that hosts open mic sessions.
