THE Forever Sun Festival is ready to shine this weekend.

Thousands are expected to descend on the Came Estate near Dorchester for the second edition of the festival, which runs from Friday evening to Sunday.

Big name acts taking to the stage include the Happy Mondays, Buzzcocks, Dub Pistols and Toploader.

Festival organiser David Williams said that, thanks to support from volunteers who helped to build the festival arena over the last few days, the stage is now set for an epic weekend of fun in the sun.

He said: “Everyone has pulled together and embraces the Forever Sun vibe to turn our venue at Came Estate from fields to festival.”

David added: “With such a great line-up headlined by Madchester icons the Happy Mondays and punk legends the Buzzcocks, Forever Sun is set to burn Dorchester’s name into the UK festival map.”

The festival is aimed at an adult audience with no under-14s admitted and will include a range of weird and wonderful acts performing along the big name headliners as well as local performers.

The event is also affiliated to two charities, local cause the Steve Charles Help a Friend Fund and national charity the Big Issue Foundation.

The festival arena will be open from 6pm on Friday and from 11am on Saturday and Sunday.

There are one-day or two-day ticket options and camping is available.

There will be a shuttle bus running from the Fairfield car park in Dorchester to the festival site throughout the weekend.
