Portland Coastguards prepared to launch a search after reports of an overdue Microlight that had gone missing.

Portland Coastguards received the call from ARCC Kinloss at 4.04pm after the aircraft was last spotted south of Bournemouth, but as coastguards prepared to launch, the aircraft was located safe in La Baule in Brittany.

At 6.47pm, a lifeguard reported his concerns for two women swimmers in the water at Sandbanks.
