ABBOTSBURY Children’s Farm is a great place for young families looking for things to do in Dorset.

There are lots of different animals for children to meet, greet and feed plus loads more.

Kids can cuddle the guinea pigs, ride the ponies and bottle feed the lambs.

The lambs also have a midday race around the track and afterwards children are invited to take them for a warm down walk on a lead.

Afterwards guests can play in the large undercover play area and jump around on the new bouncy castle – remember to bring socks! – and race around on the tractors.

The farm cafe also provides a range of fresh Dorset produce cooked on site as well as coffee, afternoon tea, homemade cake and more hot and cold snacks.

The cafe offers fabulous views out to St Catherine’s Chapel and towards the dramatic Dorset coast from both the indoor and outdoor eating areas. The farm is open daily from 10am – 5pm, but it should be noted animals are put to bed in the last hour before closing.

Tickets cost £9.50 for adults and £7.95 for children. Guests can save up to 20 per cent by booking online in advance.
