It doesn't look as though the police are going to be able to give us any more information this evening.

Officers say their investigations will be continuing throughout the night.

CSI have now left the scene. But more detectives have just arrived.

Neighbours have spoken of their shock at the incident. 

One, who does not wish to be named, said: "We don't know what's gone on, we just heard the sirens and looked out and saw the police."



Update from Insp Hicks. 

He said crime scene investigators will be on scene 'through the night.'

The death happened in the first floor flat of the building. 


Police have said the deceased male was aged 43. 


We've just spoken to the Dorset Police control room. They have released the following statement-

"At 3.20pm today Dorset Police received a report of a sudden death of a man at an address in St Leonards Road, Weymouth.

"At this time the death is unexplained and officers from CID and scenes of crime are investigating."

They tell us they will give us more information as soon as they can.

Reporter Lee Irving is on scene. 

He has spoken to Insp Geoff Hicks of Dorset Police, who gave the following statement: "We don't know very much at the moment but we are investigating the death of a man.

"As a precaution, we are treating it as suspicious and crime scene investigators are on scene."
