There will be a parade to church led by the Dolphin Band followed by a Civic service at 11am on Sunday to commemorate the outbreak of the First World War. At 2.30pm there will be a concert entitled ‘Lest we forget’.
On the centenary of the outbreak of war on Monday there will be a vigil at the war memorial from 10.30 pm until 11pm.
There are exhibitions in the church throughout August and a special Book of Remembrance will be available for signing for those who have lost loved ones in this and other conflicts.
