POLICE are on the hunt of a pervert who exposed himself to at least four people in Dorchester.

At least four separate incidents of indecent exposure were reported to police within a 40-minute period on Friday, July 25.

In one incident, the man is also believed to have stopped a woman and asked to see her breasts. Two women were offered £20 on another occasion.

Inspector Steve Marsh, of Dorchester Police, said that the indecent acts occurred in Rothesay Road, Icen Way, Cambridge Road and the dog walking area near to Dorchester Rugby Club.

He said that on each occasion the offender exposed himself from a red saloon car.

In each incident the victims, two women aged 58, 48 and two girls aged 10 and 13, described the offender as a white man in his 20s with mousey coloured hair, wearing grey jogging bottoms.

In three of the incidents he was seen driving a small red car similar to a VW Golf.

Police are desperately trying to track down the perpetrator after search efforts on the night proved in vain and are appealing for any other victims to get in contact.

Insp Marsh said: “The male has been described as being in his 20s and was wearing grey jogging bottoms.

“On every occasion he was seen driving a red saloon car and has committed the acts whilst sat in the car and then driven off.”

Insp Marsh said that after receiving the reports police searched the area ‘extensively’ with the force helicopter called into action.

However, no trace of the offender could be found and they are still trying to track him town.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who saw a male acting suspiciously in a red saloon vehicle around the time of the offences, which occurred between 8pm and 8.40pm, and are urging any other victims to get in touch.

Insp Marsh insisted that this kind of offence was extremely rare for Dorchester and insisted all efforts were being made to find the man responsible before others are subjecting to his crimes.

He said: “It’s really rare and obviously very upsetting for the victims. The ages of the victims were quite a wide spectrum from fairly young to fairly elderly so obviously he didn’t care what he was doing.

“We are really keen to identify and arrest him before he commits similar acts to these.”
