A FORMER Portland man is among several people wanted by police tackling drug dealing in Dorset.

Officers have released images of five wanted people wanted in connection with the initiative and want the public’s help to track them down.

The appeal follows one of the biggest drug operations in Dorset in recent years.

In July this year, undercover officers targeted a number of addresses in Boscombe on suspicion of drug misuse and supply, with a total of 38 people being arrested and 34 charged.

Four men, wanted for drugs offences, are still outstanding.

They are Shane Peter Smith, 25, from Bournemouth who formerly lived on Portland, Adam Hamed, 20, from Liverpool, , Adam Larkin, 27, from Bournemouth and Christopher York, 23, from London.

One woman, 48-year-old Tracey Archer of no fixed abode, is wanted for failing to return to the police station having been released on bail following her arrest.

Bournemouth East Neighbourhood Inspector Chris Weeks said: “Our investigation into drug criminality in Boscombe and the subsequent operation has revealed that the men outstanding need to be arrested as soon as possible.

“Tracey Archer needs to be located to complete our enquiries with regards to her arrest.

“I am appealing for anyone who knows of the whereabouts of these people to come forward - all calls are treated with the strictest confidence.

“I urge members of the public who see anyone they believe to be the persons pictured to call the police. They are not considered to be dangerous but in the interest of personal safety do not confront them.

“I would like to appeal directly to these individuals to make contact with the authorities as soon as possible.”
