COASTGUARDS were alerted after a jet-ski broke down near Bournemouth.

Portland Coastguard received a 999 call at around 8.09pm on Thursday.

The jet-ski was found west of Bournemouth Pier.

Poole Inshore Lifeboat assisted the watercraft's user with a tow to Baiter Park, Poole Harbour.

The jet skier was then met by officers from Poole Coastguard Rescue Team.

So if a motorbike breaks down on the motorway, can he call the police, air rescue etc to bail him out?
This is an example of stupidity on the water. Get them to take out insurance like motorists.
