COASTGUARDS rescued dinghies, kitesurfers and windsurfers as strong winds blew along the Jurassic Coast.

Weymouth lifeboat was send by Portland coastguard to rescue a windsurfer in trouble in Portland Harbour after the wind picked up quickly. He made it safely ashore but another was rescued just after 1pm on Sunday.

At 1.20pm Portland coastguards sent Poole lifeboat and Swanage coastguard teams to help an adult and child on an inflatable which had blown offshore from Knoll Beach, Studland. They were initially assisted by another vessel, then the lifeboat, who requested an ambulance for the child who was very cold. South Western Ambulance met them at the shore.

A kitesurfer and a lifeguard who had gone to help, but was struggling in the conditions, were rescued at around 2pm by the Mudeford lifeboat.

Portland coastguard sent the vessel to bring them back to shore on Sunday afternoon.

Just before 3pm two people had to be rescued from their inflatable after they got into difficulty and started shipping water near Mudeford.

Portland coastguards sent the Mudeford lifeboat and they were brought back to shore.

Portland coastguards sent Poole lifeboat to tow a German boat back to shore, after it got into trouble in the Channel on Sunday evening.

Coastguards and life boats are screaming for money I think these fools should be made to pay for the services they received out of the own pockets.....
