PUPILS at Chickerell Primary School held a fundraising day by paying £1 each to come to school dressed in the colours of the RNLI, raising £140.

The school assembly was used by Weymouth lifeboat volunteer crew member Alice Higgins who is also an RNLI beach lifeguard, along with RNLI lifeguard Josh Lesley-Smith, to inform all the pupils of the work of the lifesaving service including the work of beach lifeguards.
