A FORMER Portland man sought by police in connection with a huge covert drugs operation in Bournemouth has appeared in court.
Shane Peter Smith, aged 25, of Haddington Road, Plymouth, was one of five people who are all wanted in connection with the police drugs Operation Moped.
He was arrested by police in Plymouth on Wednesday before appearing before a district judge at Bournemouth Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
Smith is charged with seven counts of supplying a class A drug to a law enforcement officer on dates in May and June.
Speaking only to confirm his name and address at the court, the defendant – who has not yet entered a plea to any of the charges – was remanded into custody, and will next appear before a judge at Bournemouth Crown Court.
