BRIDPORT & District Model Railway Club held a successful exhibition in the town’s United Church Hall.
The exhibition was well supported by locals as well as visitors who came from Weymouth and further afield.
The club’s major layout depicting West Bay and Maiden Newton was operated by members.
Club chairman John Edge welcomed everyone and said the club was very fortunate to have Paul Jones, Model Railway Club and exhibition manager for the National Model Railway Exhibition, from Birmingham in attendance.
Visitors were encouraged to take part in a vote for the best exhibit in the show to win the trophy. It was won by the ‘Purbeck’ layout, depicting the clay workings around Corfe Castle, by John Thorne and Peter Allen from Wimborne.
