A STRAW field in Blandford caught fire this afternoon.

Two fire engines from Blandford and Bere Regis and two landrovers attended the incident off the A350.

A spokesperson for Dorset Fire and Rescue Service said the incident involved 25 hectares of cut straw.

The farmer helped firefighters to put the blaze out by cultivating the field.
