THE WEYMOUTH Quayside Festival has been cancelled due to poor weather.

The bank holiday event, organised by Rendezvous manager Keith Treggiden, was set to host a number of live music acts.

However the End of Summer party at Maumbury Rings in Dorchester is still set to go ahead.

There will be a number of live music acts performing from 1.30pm - 10pm.

The Met Office has issued a yellow alert for rain in the southwest today.

Today's forecast:

Unsettled with persistent and often heavy rain moving northeastwards through the day. Rain clearing from the southwest through the afternoon, to be followed by brighter, showery and somewhat warmer conditions for most. Remaining breezy in the far southwest. Maximum Temperature 19C.

Both those sites collect their data from the Met office rainfall radar, so why not just utilize the met office site?
