A DOG was injured after it fell into a Portland quarry.
A crew from Portland and technical rescue teams from Weymouth and Poole were called to the scene at just before 1pm this afternoon, Monday.
A firefighter went into the quarry to stop the dog falling further and the coastguard used cliff rescue equipment to bring the dog back to the surface.
It had a minor injury to its front paw but was otherwise unhurt.
