Firefighters in Weymouth were called to rescue a trapped cat at around 10pm last night.
A crew of firefighters arrived to find Mimi the Cat had squeezed through the facia boards on a property in Weymouth to shelter from the rain and the gap had closed behind her, trapping her inside.
Firefighters climbed up to rescue her using a triple extension ladder and cut away a small part of the plastic facia to release her unharmed – allowing her to make her own way down back to her owner.
